Since i took up netflix subscription, I have been watching a lot of indie(independent) movies, came across this romantic comedy today.
The title is a witty reference towards the lead character Ray 'Rehan' Rehman, he is American of mixed American/Pakistani parentage. So here we have Ray in white and Brown shades. (Makes him quite shady ;) )
Nothing special about the way story proceeds, a most atypical Hollywood Romcom, but what i liked about the movie was 'Ray'.
He wants to live like a American, love like a American, but finds himself attracted to brown girls. He tries to fight it at times, but finds love finally.
Some interesting scenes include Ray's acting auditions, when he tries for caucasian rolls, he is judged against his asian heritage, and vice versa. Catch him trying to imitate a Pakistani terrorist, quite hilarious! (no pun intended)
You do end up falling in love this confused, smiling and amazingly handsome guy at the end of the movie. Girls can surely watch this movie, its quite easy to like Ray, in all shades...
